Built by people who love coffee shops and bookstores

BrewShelf exists because the shops we love deserve better tools.

Independent coffee shop + bookstore hybrids are the fastest-growing segment of indie retail. Over 1,000 operate in the U.S. today, with that number climbing as bookstores add cafes and coffee shops add book sections.

These businesses are special. They're community gathering places where a barista knows your name and the bookseller remembers what you liked last time. But behind the counter, it's a different story.

Most of these shops cobble together 5–7 disconnected apps costing $350–$550 per month in SaaS alone — a POS that can't scan ISBNs, a scheduling app that doesn't know about sales, an accounting tool that requires manual entry from both sides of the business.

No platform today natively serves both the coffee workflow (drink modifiers, recipe costing, barista queues) and the bookstore workflow (ISBN lookup, used book trade-ins, condition tracking) as first-class citizens.

That's why we're building BrewShelf. One platform, purpose-built for shops that brew coffee and sell books.

What we believe

Small shops matter

Enterprise tools trickle down to small business as afterthoughts. We build for the 8-person shop first.

Simple beats clever

Our users aren't tech-savvy and they shouldn't have to be. If it needs a manual, we haven't finished designing it.

Honest pricing

No hidden fees, no surprise rate hikes, no contracts. You should know exactly what you're paying and why.
